I am about to bake a cake. A big one. Well, big my my standards. Put it like this, there’s 20 eggs in it and a truck load of sugar. It’s for a special occasion and I can only conclude that I had drink taken when I offered to make it. Seemed like a great idea at the time. Now, I’m not so gung ho.
The tins are greased; the oven is on; the scales are out; the eggs are at room temperature. I’m talking a great show here. Now I just have to do it. And open the Golden Pages at Bakeries… just in case.
